Brynn Jacobs is a coloratura soprano, voice teacher, and certified vocologist currently pursuing her Doctor of Music in Music Literature and Voice Performance at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music.

She has sung professionally with the New York Philharmonic Chorus for the re-opening of David Geffen Hall where she shared the stage with Renée Fleming, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Bernadette Peters, Alicia Keys, and more, in addition to performing Beethoven's 9th Symphony which was broadcast on PBS. She recently performed at Utah Festival Opera covering Gilbert & Sullivan's Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance and Plaintiff in Trial by Jury. Academically, she has performed with IU Opera Theatre as Mrs. Jenks in Copland's The Tender Land and Le rossignol in Ravel's L'enfant et les sortilèges, in addition to being the soprano soloist in Bernstein's Pax: Communion with the IU Jacobs University Chorale. In 2022, Brynn performed Despina in Mozart's Cosí fan tutte with the Vienna Opera Academy in Vienna, Austria. Credits with NYU Opera Theatre include Diana in Offenbach's Orpheus in the Underworld, Amore in Gluck's Orfeo ed Euridice, Dater in Ching's Zoom Speed Dating Tonight, and Opera Chorus (and assistant stage manager) in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte. She was also a soprano soloist in NYU Vocal Performance Chorale, an ensemble that performed on the Christmas special of Good Morning America in 2018. In her high school days, she was known for placing 1st chair in PMEA All-State Choir, All-Eastern Honor Mixed Choir, and NAfME All-National Choir, in addition to performing in the Hempfield Chamber Choir which performed at the American Music Theatre alongside Kristin Chenoweth in Lancaster, PA. Favorite musical theatre credits include Carlotta in The Phantom of the Opera, Ariel in The Little Mermaid, and Patrice in 13 the Musical.

A musical theatre and band kid at heart, Brynn is a voice technician who works with all ages, levels (including Broadway professionals), and voice types to find the most sustainable technique for each individual. As a lifelong student, she strives to stay up to date on modern research in voice pedagogy, including studying under Dr. Johan Sundberg, Dr. Brian Gill, and Dr. Filipa Lã in Malmköping, Sweden in their "Science of the Singing Voice" intensive workshop. She takes her role as a vocologist seriously, using science and evidence-based tools in her voice studio for voice habilitation, and, if necessary, rehabilitation. Through SOVT postures and exercises in practice and in the studio, her passion is to build healthy voices for lifelong sustainability in speaking and singing. Brynn is a proud student of Dr. Brian Gill, using tools created by Gill Mindful Voice Training for quick and effective changes in voice technique that can be used for a lifetime of healthy singing.

Brynn received her Master's of Music in Voice from IU Jacobs School of Music (2026) and Certificate in Vocology from IU Jacobs (2025) under the guidance and mentorship of Dr. Brian Gill. In 2022, Brynn graduated Summa Cum Laude from NYU Steinhardt on a full scholarship, where she received her Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice, receiving an award for "Exceptional Contribution and Service in Classical Voice". She is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Music in Voice at the IU Jacobs School of Music... soon to be Dr. Jacobs in a few short years!
