About Brynn's Lessons

A musical theatre and band kid at heart, Brynn is a voice technician who works with all ages, levels, and voice types to find the most sustainable technique for each individual. Her students range from K-12 students in leading roles to Broadway professionals. As a lifelong student, she strives to stay up to date on modern research in voice pedagogy, including studying under Dr. Johan Sundberg, Dr. Brian Gill, and Dr. Filipa Lã in Malmköping, Sweden in their "Science of the Singing Voice" intensive workshop. She takes her role as a vocologist seriously, using science and evidence-based tools in her voice studio for voice habilitation, and, if necessary, rehabilitation. Through SOVT postures and exercises in practice and in the studio, her passion is to build healthy voices for lifelong sustainability in speaking and singing. Brynn is a proud student of Dr. Brian Gill, using tools created by Gill Mindful Voice Training for quick and effective changes in voice technique that can be used for a lifetime of healthy singing.

  • “Singing is easy. Singing well is extremely difficult. Working with Brynn to understand my voice was a tremendous joy, constantly challenging but never overwhelming. Her knowledge and musicality is immense, and her willingness to support and adapt a lesson is excellent. The techniques and lessons I gained I will use for the rest of my life.”

  • “I loved having Brynn as a coach. Brynn was the most impactful vocal coach I've ever had. She was instrumental in my success in both choir and theater. When I started working with her, I could not confidently even enter my head voice. It has been thrilling to hit notes that I thought were just not meant for me. She's also helped me open a lot of doors in performance. She coached me through my first theater role as Ursula in The Little Mermaid. I don't like to say that Ursula is my "big break" but it felt to me like everything in choir and theater changed for me after I got a chance in center stage, and I couldn't have done that without her. It's just been such a joy to work with her. If you want to expand your vocal range or grow as a performer, I could not think of a better coach.”

  • “When I came to Brynn, I had been singing a lot of high range rock and worship material for many years. However, once I joined a band as lead singer that required hours of sustained singing material such as Journey, Foreigner and the like, I would sometimes struggle to get through some songs that danced in and around my passaggio, and feel strain after the gig. In short order, Brynn had me on the right track, and knew exactly what needed to happen. We corrected some fundamental flaws and now I am singing all the difficult songs I want, and my voice and vocal cords feels just fine after a strong 3-4 hour performance... and in the morning, my voice is just as strong for worship service. And the sessions were not only super-effective, but also fun!”
